INTRODUCTION

Thank you for visiting. I’m honored to serve as a Trustee for Russell Township and grateful for the trust our community has placed in me.

This site is a simple hub for sharing updates, reflections, and information related to township governance, community issues, and public service. My goal is to communicate clearly, show up consistently, and help make local government more accessible and understandable for residents.

This is a personal website and is not maintained by, endorsed by, or an official communication channel of Russell Township or Geauga County.

ABOUT ME

I’m a licensed mental health counselor with a professional background rooted in listening, problem-solving, and navigating complex systems. That experience shapes how I approach public service — thoughtfully, ethically, and with an eye toward practical outcomes.

I believe local government works best when residents feel informed, respected, and confident that decisions are being made transparently and responsibly.

I live in Russell Township and care deeply about the long-term health, stability, and livability of our community.

CONSTITUIENT FOCUS AREAS

My current areas of focus include:

  • Township governance, meetings, and constituent concerns

  • Addressing vacant and blighted properties

  • Finding ways to allow senior citizens to age in place

  • Mental health advocacy and systems navigation

  • Writing and public commentary on civic and community issues

  • Promoting transparent, accessible communication between residents and local government

  • Constituent assistance: I can help residents identify the appropriate point of contact and connect with our United States House of Representative Dave Joyce’s office for federal issues or casework, when appropriate.

Expanded thoughts, updates, and reflections are shared through my blog.

EVENTS & PUBLIC APPEARANCES

This site may include information about upcoming township meetings and public events where I will be present in my role as a Trustee. Outside of publicly noticed trustee meetings, I may attend community meetings or events in a listening capacity only. This is not meant to be evasive - it is to ensure compliance with Ohio’s Sunshine Laws. Discussion, deliberation, or decision-making on matters that may come before the Board of Trustees occurs only during properly noticed public meetings.

  • January 8: Russell Township 2026 Planning Meeting, 2:30 PM, Community Room

  • January 22: Russell Township, Trustee Meeting, 7:00 PM, Community Room

  • January 26: Hemlock Hills Homeowners Assoc, Save the Pool, 5:30 to 7:30 PM - (I will not be attending due to a conflict)

Event listed on this site are shared for transparency and general awareness and do not replace or constitute official notice under

Ohio’s Open Meetings (“Sunshine”) Law.

However, I encourage you to attend trustee meetings, zoning meetings, zoning appeals, and other governmental meetings in Russell Township and Geauga County that are of interest to you.
