🕊️ Thank you, Russell
As we head into the final weekend before Election Day, I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to read, share, and talk over these issues and posts the past two months.
When I started this blog, I wanted a place to help our community stay informed about what’s happening in Russell and hear from me directly approaching Election Day, from local taxes and township decisions to eyesore properties, infrastructure, and senior services.
This month alone, over 400 residents have visited, a 117% increase from last month. That might not seem like a lot, but in small township and local election, that's significant. This growth tells me something powerful: people here care deeply about facts, transparency, and the future of our township.
🌱 Why this election matters
Russell deserves leadership that listens first, explains decisions clearly, and protects what makes our township special — from fiscal responsibility to helping seniors stay in their homes and address eyesore properties that have been ignored by zoning and trustees until the collapsed.
John Ishee and I share that vision. We both believe in local problem-solving, not partisanship — in open meetings, data-driven choices, fiscal oversight, and thoughtful stewardship of our green spaces we all value in Russell.
This race isn’t about sides; it’s about who will show up, do the work, and keep Russell accountable to its residents.
🗳️ How and when to vote
Early voting continues through Sunday, November 2 at the Geauga County Board of Elections in Chardon.
Sat. Nov. 1 - 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.
Sun. Nov. 2 - 1:00p.m. – 5:00p.m.
No Early Voting on Monday Nov. 3
Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, polls are open from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM, I hope to see you at the polls.
On your ballot, you’ll see my name second, right above John Ishee. Please take a moment to vote for both of us — the second and third names for Trustee.
Every single local vote matters. Township elections are often decided by just a few dozen ballots — sometimes fewer than the number of people who will read this post today.
🤝 A small favor
If you’ve already voted, thank you. If you haven’t yet, please make your plan to vote — and gently remind one friend or neighbor to do the same. Those personal reminders are what keep Russell engaged, informed, and truly community driven.
💬 Thank you
Thank you again for reading, for caring, and for helping keep Russell Township the kind of place we all want to call home.
