Thank You, Russell — For Believing in What’s Possible

This campaign has been an incredible journey — challenging, humbling, and inspiring all at once. Over the past several months, I’ve learned firsthand just how hard it is to run for local office. It takes grit, long days, and a thick skin. I’ve received more support than I ever imagined — and, unfortunately, a few death threats that reminded me how divided the world can feel. But I’ve chosen to rise above it. My focus has always been on building something better, not tearing others down.

Through all of it, I’ve been surrounded by some truly amazing people. Our volunteers have been the heartbeat of this campaign — helping send mailers, design and distribute merch, make calls, and talk with neighbors across Russell Township. You are the reason our message has reached so many, and I can’t thank you enough.

And I want to take a special moment to acknowledge my running mate, John Ishee. John has been the logistical backbone of this campaign — the calm behind the scenes who keeps things moving. Along the way, he’s also become a friend, and I’m so grateful for that partnership.

As we head into Election Day, I’m asking for your vote — for both John and me. We’re committed to tackling the issues that matter most to Russell residents: addressing long-neglected eyesore properties that bring down our community, and advancing our senior tax rebate proposal, which could provide up to an additional $500 back to qualifying senior homeowners already receiving the Homestead credit.

This election isn’t about politics — it’s about people, neighborhoods, and our shared future. Let’s keep moving forward together.

Vote Heutmaker & Ishee for Russell Township Trustee.

A Season for Gratitude, and for Getting to Work
